Service Description
Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test to rule out problems related to electrical activity of the brain. Routinely, EEG monitoring is done over 20 minutes which may, in some cases, not be sufficient enough to completely dismiss the possibility of an abnormality. For this reason, prolonged EEG monitoring is more beneficial. Beta Neurodiagnostics offers 24-hour EEG recordings. During the procedure, electrodes are placed at different points on the scalp. Each electrode has wires that attach to a computer. The electrodes detect electrical activity produced by the brain and transmit this information to the computer as brain waves.
